BJJ with Buda for the Feature Film Black Belt: the Movie
Since being released from prison and leaving the local gang, Alexandre "Buda" Ribeiro has been an instructor at the FT Academy in Ipanema. As an instructor under Fernando Terere, Buda has had the opportunity to work with athletes from all over the world.
More recently, he has been working with a few local stars in the entertainment industry.
Cantagalo native MC Cabelinho and Dj Juninho who started training jiu-jitsu during quarantine.
Buda, who grew up training and competing alongside Terere, is also playing an important roll in preparing Jonathan Azevedo for his role as Fernando Terere in the new movie about his life, The Blackbelt. Azevedo is an actor who gained success in as a star in Rede Globo Soap Operas and later transitioned into movies.
Jonathan started training last week in preparation for the movie that is set to start filming November 25th 2020. Three days a week he trains with Buda and Terere's Cousin, Fabricio Silva, so that he could master some of Terere's signature moves for the film.
